But, yesterday I was personally invited by the bosses over at Madison Square Garden to participate in a pickup game of Basketball!

I sit here by my MacPro and humbly say that I played extremely well! Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the game, but I did manage to take a picture of me on the court.

I confess, this looks like a groupie shot, but hey, I had to prove to the haters that John Starks don't have nothing on me!!!!!

Sorry if you haven't heard from me, but this past Monday - 12/15, I had surgery on my foot! Yes, thank you, thank you, I am ok!
- In case you are wondering, it was time for me to have the metal, plate and screws remove from my foot. I was more than a year overdo! Just never had the time to do it!

-Side note: 3 years ago, I fractured my fibula in a pick up game of basketball! From there, I was told that medical surgery was required...which includes fixing and implementing temporarily tools to hold my bones together....Ouch!

However, Monday surgery went well and I have some very funny footage!

As you know, I am filled with joy and is always positive. Check back on Monday for the footage.

Saeedah - Dream Girls Audition

Sooo, I attempted what most have not, at least those not persuing a career in singing or acting... I auditioned for the upcoming play... DREAMGIRLS! I amused myself, getting on line at 9am in 20 degree weather and standing outside on line until some time after noon. I observed the hundreds of girls before me and behind me who had trained, aspired, and prayed for this opportunity. And here I was, my only practice, karaoke the week before, lol, but with my toes cold, nose frozen, heart racing and a shiver in my voice, I bellowed out the beautiful lyrics to "A Change is Going to Come" by Sam Cooke.

Hello all, I apologize for my delayed post but I have been quite ____...but no excuse! Again, I apologize to all my friends, fans and family. :-(#)

This past weekend was awesome...I was all over the place. Saturday, I volunteered at the NYC HS Cross Country Mayors Cup at Van Courtlandt Park and attended the NJ Nets Home Season Opener (see video below). And Sunday, ummmm just grinded!

Soooo, off to the game..... the game was good! The Nets lost in their Home Season Opener by 20 to the Golden State Warriors! Wow! And my man Monta Ellis wasn't even playing! Damn, just imagine if he was???? The Nets would have probably lost by 50! Just playing. However, I enjoyed myself, as well as my date, Fatima (See video).

A lil about my date- Fatima was mad at me prior to the game! For what? I don't know! Now if you ask yourself why.... ummm because she is all grilled about her beliefs on what I do and how I live my life..... but, I ended up buttering her up and making a movie out of the situation (whatever that means). So, overall, my charm adjusted her swagger and I ended up making her smile throughout the whole night! What a great guy I am!! AWWWWWWW!

Ali @ NY Knicks Season Opener vs Miami Heat - 10/29/08

Hoooooorrrrraaaayyyy! The Knicks won! Congrats everyone! Big up New York! We are officially undefeated! Right Ben!?! - (See below video)

However, the game was great.....Very fast pace, organize and exciting until the last 4 minutes of the game...but, my man Nate "the Great" Robinson was able to pull through at crunch time! Much respect 'partna'!

I really enjoyed myself. As you already know, the NY Knicks & NY Liberty always take care of me -with tickets and invites to exclusive events. But, this time around, new comer, Brett Cullen hooked me up with executive Skybox (suites) seats for me and my friend/business partner/film producer Ben Rosen to utilize. (see above pictures).

The food and atmosphere was great! You will definitely see more of me at this years Knicks Games!

Hey, Hey!

Yesterday was very peaceful. I pretty much hung around my home for most of the day- I cooked, slept and watched movies with my friend! I also, made a lil Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! What a great man I am!!

However, the only time I went outside was to head over to LULU LEMON for Yoga Class! It's been a while since I've practice Yoga, so I was just getting back into the flow! But, I managed to do well!

However, class was pretty intense! We were doing a selection of conditioning drills, from kickboxing, to sit-ups, to push-ups to even boxing (jabbing & Weaving)! GOD DAMN!!

I guess you can imagine how tired I was - See picture (1 & 2)

- Also, class was jam packed and there were only 3 guys in class, so you can just imagine how much fun I had with the ladies!?!? Ummmm!

Overall, this was a great class - I'll score this an A+

Sunday was cool, ya'll. Me and my mother went to visit her mother, my grandmother at her home in Brooklyn! I was so excited to see her! She is so adorable, sweet and cool! Of course, when she saw me, she was happy!! (look at above picture)

We had a great time. We ate, relax, talked, laughed and chilled....Such a great time! Thank you Grandma for being such a good host.

Ali is back at Basketball - yesterday - 10/16

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been emphasizing on some of the positive things I can do to keep me Happy and in shape....so, my homegirl Ginger suggested - get back into playing Basketball ....not a bad idea, so I made a few phones calls, and voila, I was back in the gym!! Now, I have to say that it's been 3 years since I've played BBall (due to my injury)...But I did very well... But afterwards I was in serious pain!!! I couldn't feel my legs nor did I have any energy!

It was terrible! I feel like I'm 40! And I am far from that. So I encourage you guys to stay in shape!

Last Friday I knew my BFF (lol) was coming into town to hang with me for the weekend, but I first had to take care of some business.....

1st stop - a meeting with the NY Knicks! (See pictures 3 & 4)-

- My meeting went well! Dan over at the Knicks showed lots of interest in what I was proposing! Plus, there will be a large scale opportunity, that my organization - 5th Avenue Sports League & the New York Knicks will work together at one of there games!!! Wow! So, at this point the opportunities are there, it's just time to perform!

- Big Shout out to Dan and the Knicks organization for treating me so well. I even snapped a few pics of their office! Terrific!!

O my goodness! Have you ever had a day where you'd rather go to the gun range instead of home after a hard day of work? Good! Im so glad its not just me. Its quite important to keep at least two good girlfriends in your life for a "girls night"... Fellas you too can have a night with the boys, if you aren't already doing so.

Key Ingredients as follows:

1. Wine or some other alcohol infused beverage (from the local community Liquor Store, of course) - Its the catalyst the begins to ease the tension, and create the illusion of joy, lol... Wooo hoo does it work!

2. Hookah Pipe - Since I am against the use of drugs, yes, even Marijuana, smoking tobacco enhanced with fruit flavors & molasses gives you that mellow feeling without the addiction and without stealing your mama's fur coat and selling it to someone like my Dad (who loves a bargain even if its from a street hustler) for $20.

3. Chinese Food - But uhh we only ordered broccolli w/ brown sauce and white rice (that damn vegetarian friend of mine and that other "wonderful" friend who watches her figure, even when shes sleeping lol) uhh sidebar- what is brown sauce?? How is a sauce's name a color?? Lmlsao!! I never understood that, ie green & red sauce at the spanish restaurants... Hmm, but hey I eat it all the time, guess I should start putting more thought into the foods I eat with names that describe only the color, lol.

4. A funny homemade video of your tour in DR during which WE (myself a.k.a. "Body Beautiful" and Mari a.k.a. "Wonderful") were made to wear someone else shoes (wet), walking up a stoned trail, to waterfalls that we climbed (still unsure who we did it), Wonderful losing her shoe and breaking her toenail which ruined (what she calls) " most beautiful french pedicure", lol as one tour guide flirted with me, and I punked out on the last 2 waterfalls, lol, truly great entertainment!!

5. Last but not least having Good Friends like Day a.k.a. Ms. Jenkins, and Mari a.k.a. Wonderful around you for laughs, venting, jokes, stories, comparisons, emotional discovery & processing, relationshhip talk, sleep over and just good old fashion THERAPY!

This Weekend: BLOOD MANOR

Thank God for the weekend!

- This past weekend, my 'best friend' (remember the song?) Renee aka "Storm" was in town hanging with your boy (Ali) for the entire weekend and we did a ton of things....don't you agree "Storm"!?!? U better! However, there are so many things that I could Highlight; like the last minute pictures and bracelets down in Soho, the Indian food, city island and more, but one particular thing has been hangind over my head for the past two days is my new favorite -"BLOODMANOR" (click here)

I have to say, Blood Manor is a scariest (S**T) attraction in the city of New York!!

I was in the gym yesterday working out and every God Damn channel was tuned into the Presidential Debate! I mean, damn! No music videos, NO games, NO ESPN...No nothing, Damn!

So, since it was on every channel, I feel back from my workout for a quick second to focus on the Debate. The debate was fierce and competitive, but one thing I notice was how stiff (robotic) Sen. John McCain was! I mean, damn he's STIFF. Now, I m not here to talk about him or Obama, but for a minute last night I visualize McCain learning how to Break Dance as a robot!!!!! See above!

Alright, I agree, I do think there is something wrong with me? Why, because I am officially addicted to "PINKBERRY"....Have you tried it? If not, than I think you should...It's a must! If anything, just ask me and I'll treat you.

For the past 4 months, I have spent, ummmm roughly (do the math) $7 for a medium- three times a week - times 3 months (16 weeks) = $336 on delicious "PINKBERRY"! That's not including the people I've treated or seconds that I've purchased for my late night craves at home!

OMG it's soooooo (hi renee) delicious! And now since I am sooooooo additcted, each Saturday when I come from the studio the manager (confidential location) awaits my arrival to accommodate me and my team to PINKBERRY! So yes, I am now officially a groupie for PINKBERRY!

So, this past Thursday 10/2...a good friend/business partner - Bradley (who's head of marketing for "MY FAVORITE" CHIPOTLE) invited me to this exclusive VIP gathering- benefiting Celebrity, Ethan Zohn's Grassroot Soccer organization and HIV programs in Africa!

The event was spectacular (as you can see) and Ethan is a cool cat and a great host...much respect brother!

But, on my side I had a great time! The music was poppin and my crew (Bradley & Jessica) really enjoyed themselves. By the way, Jessica (top pic- left hand side) was my casual business date for this event. She's a great person and she runs the custom/exclusive component for another one of "MY FAVORITES" Simmons Jewelry Company!

I was thankful for the opportunity and was excited to meet such a select group of people... Thanks Brad, Jed & Ethan! Furthermore, while there, I was spotted by a gentleman who wanted to take a picture with me because he seen me on ESPN recently (felt like a celebrity)! But I did manage to run into some great people I knew from 'birth' (meaning: Business) - like Vanessa (Powerade), Antonio (PUMA), Steve (NBA) & a couple other people!

Im sitting at work, in my chair, hungry from not having breakfast, as if I do any other morning, but I find myself so happy and stimulated that I get a break from Ramadan (Islamic Holiday; fasting from Sun up to Sun down for thirty days) today because of my (generally dreaded) monthly (ladies you know what that is! Men only know when you tell them it hasn't come this month *hint hint)... So as I finally bite into my butter bagel for a dollar, that I bought from a different store after disputing with the teen girl who attempted to sell me a croissant with a slice of american cheese for $3, STOOOOOP!!!... I mean a sistah doesn't even buy milk anymore!! Anyway Im sitting and thinking about being on an island. Far away having a cocktail (so what its 10:30am) and laying on the beach. But instead I stroll to get charts, in preparation to write notes on the children of NYC that I attempt in so many ways to save, but most are resistant, but I try. (I say get a switch! Lol-- black folk, ya'll know about switches, and to my brothers, ya'll remember the "strap", lmao, sad thing is, you guys think Im joking! Hmmph!) But the only island Im on today is Manhattan... And so, I'll enjoy that its hump day, and smile because Friday is two days closer! =

Here it is, the world traveler (lol, Im working on it) Queen A (not B!! That's lil kim)... "A" standing for the fabulous & fun family, Abdullah. So... Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, Im here, sharing the space with my brother, and sharing my wonderful experiences. Sooo... Here we go! My birthday was September 2nd, and this is my last year of my twenties (just turned 29) so as usual I decided to take a trip. Went with a home girl to Puerto Plata, Dominican Repulic (DR). Although the ocean was as beautiful as ever, the rest really didn't meet my expectations.. I mean no wash-n-sets, that's devastating enough, lol (wash-n-sets, only dominican salon's in nyc get your poppin, lol) the children were beautiful, but always asking for candy lol, and the souveniers were extremely overpriced! Are they kidding me, did they really think I'd pay $15 for 2 magnets (1 for me, 1 for my ma. For those reading who don't understand black folk terminology ma= mother, lol... Had to throw that in there just in case we have a mixed audience reading, *wink--> back to my trip), I said oh no! Im from New york, and I KNOW a magnet is not $7.50 for one, so we negotiated, I said $8, he said $10, then he offered me to stay in DR and be his wife, and at the end, I got the magnets for $9! Hmmph! I know that's right! Lol!

I tell you, one thing about DR, the men love women, especially women with some weight, sooo you know I was walking around like "hmmph, Beyonce aint got nothing on me" lol, If I EVER need a boost of self-esteem, or ladies if you EVER need a boost of self-esteem, get you a ticket to Puerto Plata, you'll leave thinking your a super model. I got more marriage proposals and offers than even Donald Trump has given (and Donald, if you're reading this, I wouldn't mind a proposal from you... Cuz I don't care what Rosie said about your hair, its sexy boo... Work it!!!) So I decided that life in DR isn't for me, plus the men run things there, completely different culture from USA, I'd hate to have to knock my husband in the head with my skillet because he got out of line, see because that's my culture, lol. Now, the food was good. I ate mostly at the resort and once in town. Went to the store by the resort and got my first real experience of a TRUE bodega!

You see all these years growing up in harlem, I thought I knew what a bodega was. As a teen I "THOUGHT" I was buying candy at the bodega, I "THOUGHT" I was buying my pickles from the bodega, I "THOUGHT" I was getting my turkey and cheese sandwich with a free grape soda from the bodega.... OH NO ladies and gentlemen! A REAL bodega has a security guard with a sawed-off shot gun standing outside, a real bodega has tables where people sit drinking presidente's and playing dominoes, a real bodega has bachata (a type of music) playing, a real bodega has all of their products in spanish, a real bodega has several freezers packed with only presidente's, a real bodega sells RON BLANCO RUM, and a REAL bodega has men with their hands in their pants laying back in their seat winking at you as you pay for juice you hope is orange, but you don't know because its in Spanish, as you follow the security guard in the corner of your eye inside socializing with the drunken patrons while he swings the shotgun like he's swinging hands with someone. So the next time you're at the corner store on your block, in your hood, (or for the folk living downtown) at your local deli, lmao, appreciate it more than ever!!! Lol, because I have learned to!

- Shout out to Hamad, and Muhammad, at my local bodega (now owned and run by Arabs, lmao!

- Happy belated Labor Day all! Mines was great! I was out grinding once again- this time to find the perfect T-Shirt fabric/Quality and Cut for a future collection, called_______________!!! You'll find out! (Stay tuned)

So, I parked the car and began walking through the fashion district hitting up every store, networking and feeling on all of the material as if it was my _______!

At one point, I was close to knocking heads with one store owner.... Why? Because I was being toooo specific and general on what I am looking for! I know good quality and his stuff was terrible!

- However, I am not going to sit here an act innocent....I was grabbing every shirt in every color.......plus I was not putting them back in it's original order!!! Nor was I folding them!!! So, yes, I admit, I am wrong for doing that....AAAannnnnd-I can see why he got mad! IDK, I guess I was disgusted by the poor quality of his collection...It was a easy spotted hustle!

* Funny thing is, I actually hate people who go to department stores and don't fold the clothes they touch....Perfect example -MARSHALLS

Nevertheless, my Labor Day Journey was not successful!!! But, I did come across one store in the lower Broadway area that had the PERFECT QUALITY T-SHIRT.....IN A BABY TEE!!! Arr, that was upsetting. But, I'll come through in the clutch! Pleeez-ba-leeevv-it!

My Birthday - 8/31

NY Liberty vs Chicago Sky - Thur: 8/28

Alright, so it's back to business! I arrive back into the states Thursday (yesterday) from a series of personal and business travel and my first stop after all of the craziness was to check out the WNBA's New York Liberty!

- I am a huge fan of female Basketball (http://www.5asl.com/), plus I am a regular at most of the NY Liberty home games!

- The game was great, except for the home team took a tough "L"!

- As usual, I enjoyed myself! My guest was a business associate/friend, Larry Wilson, who co-owns the Level barbershop franchise and the up-n-coming ubran/sports apparel line, Both Ends!

Unfortunately, there no picture of us because I feel weird asking another male if he would like to take a picture with me to put up on my blog!!! Understand?!? But I did tell him that I would shout him out! So, shout out to Larry Wilson!

I was beginning to enjoy my vacation. After shutting down, Club A Trax the past night, I headed over to the famous SEAWORLD for some action!

It was here, were I got a chance to witness the great big whale, SHAMU!!!!

-Yea, Yea! He's friendly, He's cute, He's big and He's funny! But...... He is also RUDE!!!

SHAMU, feeling himself, feeling the love and feeling all of the complimentary fish, decided, 'hey, let me swim on over to Ali's section.....hmmmm, ok!

And that he did! Shamu, proceeded to come over in my direction- not for us to feed him fish- but to rudely splash our entire section with water!!! Why??? For I guess......not screaming the loudest!!!! :-(

- Everyone found it so cute and entertaining, but his cute little behind caused water damage to my expensive camera!!!!!!!!

-Till this day, me and Shamu have BEEF!

- While in Orlando, I was treated like a KING (Good to have business contacts).....served with a selection of complimentary opportunities! One of the opportunities I took advantage of was CLUB A TRAX, located inside of Walt Disney's, Marketplace!!!!!

- The place was packed, the ladies were out and.......your folk, Ali "A's" Abdullah was in the building!!

- I am not a party go'er nor do I dance, but I made an exception that night! As soon as I walked in the club, one of Orlando's hottest DJ's- Sincerie shouted me out..."EVERYBODY, MY MAN ALI from NYC is in the house"!!!!! RAWWWWWWW!!!!

-Immediately after the cheers, the only "sista" in the club, grabbed me and asked me for a dance! (if you stare hard in the above picture, you can actually see her!)I was nervous as hell!!!!......... :-) ......... Anyway, I am not going to elaborate anymore, just know I had a great time!

* No it was not my birthday.....it is on, Sunday 8/31!

Over the past week, I traveled to several places including my favorite- ORLANDO! Why? I love the theme parks, customer service and the Atmosphere! I go every year! It's the best!

This time around was a bomber, because of the weather! It rained 5days straight!!!!!

I was so upset, but rain is an act of nature, so it didn't stop me from enjoying myself!

Weekend Grind- Part#2

Alright! I'm back! And it's part#2 of Ali's weekend grind....I have to say, finding my journey to get back into shape has been tough!

So, this past weekend, my homeboy, "D" took me up to a mystery location to run....Prior to us arriving, he says "Hey, this is going to be a light workout"!.............YEEEEAAAA, OKKKKK!
I knew he was BullSh**!

Soooo, when we arrived to the tallest & longest hill (picture#2) in NYC, he pulled out his workout book and smiled- devilishly, and said, Yo "A's"??!! We have to run our fastest, 3 times! I replied, "WHAT THE **** "!! lol

However, my attitude was overshadowed by the positive cheers that our female friends yelled from the sidewalk..... "GO ALI, GO ALI, GO!" Even some guy yelled, "WE LOVE YOU ALI, YOUR FIRST"! - "D".......... "Who ME!"-Ali

Indeed I did, taking off at my fastest speed...2mph!... (Seen in picture#1-left)... I am clearly struggling on my first attempt! Nevertheless, I completed each of the three in record breaking times! Thank GOD!

Hey, over the years, the AND1 Mixtape Tour has always made a lot of noise, but I've never witnessed what the hype was all about. So, this time around, I received a personal invitation from AND1 Executive Director, Rob Purvy! He asked if I can come through to make a celebrity appearance! And that I did! (FYI: He's a great leader) So, of course I headed to Springfield, Massachusetts ti check out the 10th annual finale @ the BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME! The place was amazing and I had fun!

Those AND1 guys are off the hook! It's like a organize Basketball Circus!

- Every move and every play is a highlight!

- Check us out on ESPN. Episodes are run throughout the whole summer!

On 8/10/08- I attempted to modify my sexy by getting in shape (picture#2)....My homeboy, Daquan "D" (picture #1) introduces me to a new line of workouts. Look UP!!As you can see, I am clearly struggling! Nevertheless, I made out well and manage to meet a lovely lady while cooling off on the sidelines! Always a plus!

- However, look how "D" browses through these drills!

-Catch me next week, as I attempt to break my personal record of (425lb) by bench pressing 450lbs!
